Catch-up
Years behind. We can fix it.
Cleanup and catch-up bookkeeping for Indiana small businesses — we rebuild your books from statements and receipts so you can file, refinance, or breathe.

How far behind is too far behind?
There is no "too far behind." We've rebuilt books going back 4+ years from a shoebox of receipts. The further back, the more reconstruction work — but it's all doable. The cost generally tracks transaction volume, not how angry you are at yourself.
The IRS doesn't expire on unfiled years; the sooner you start, the smaller the snowball. If you've received notices, that becomes urgent — see IRS Representation.
What do you actually need from me?
Bank and credit-card statements (downloads are fine, you don't need to print them). Payment processor exports (Stripe, Square, PayPal, Toast — whatever you use). Any 1099s you've issued or received. A list of major vendors. That's typically enough to start.
Receipts are helpful but not blocking; for most categories, the bank record + a sensible categorization holds up. Where receipts matter (large equipment, repairs vs. capitalization decisions, charitable giving), we'll ask.
How long does cleanup take?
Ballpark: one year of backlog takes 2–6 weeks depending on transaction volume and complexity. Multi-year goes faster than people expect once we're rolling — the second year is half the time of the first because the chart of accounts is built.
We work in parallel with your tax return. If you're behind on filing, we sequence the books to deliver the oldest year first so your CPA (or us) can file.
What does cleanup bookkeeping cost in Fort Wayne?
We quote per-year, flat-fee, based on transaction volume and complexity. Typical ranges: $1,500–$5,000 per year for a service business, $3,000–$10,000+ for inventory-heavy or multi-entity work. The free triage call gets you a number before you sign anything.
