Payroll
Payroll, run by your CPA
Payroll for Indiana small businesses run by the firm that knows your tax position — direct deposit, federal/state filings, W-2s, and S-corp reasonable-comp reviews.

Why have a CPA firm run payroll instead of Gusto / ADP?
National providers run payroll well. What they don't do: tell you when your S-corp reasonable salary is too low, flag when you've crossed the Indiana SUTA wage base, integrate with your tax planning, or pick up the phone when a notice arrives. We do — because the same firm that runs payroll plans your taxes.
Practically: lower lifetime cost when you factor in the year-end true-ups, the reasonable-comp planning, and not paying an accountant to clean up classification mistakes.
How do you determine reasonable salary for an Indiana S-corp owner?
Reasonable salary is the most-audited issue for S-corps. We use a documented methodology: comparable-position data (BLS, industry surveys), the owner's actual hours and responsibilities, and the business's distributions vs. salary mix. The result is a number with a written defense — if the IRS asks, we can answer.
We review reasonable comp annually, in Q4, before the year closes and reasonable comp changes become harder to substantiate.
Do you handle Indiana county income taxes?
Yes. Allen County, Huntington County, DeKalb County, Whitley County, Wells County — we file all county-level withholding for employees who work in or live in those counties. Multi-county and out-of-state employees handled correctly.
Can you take over payroll mid-year?
Yes — we onboard mid-year regularly. We pull YTD totals from your existing provider, match tax history, and start the next pay period. There's a brief overlap where we verify totals reconcile before old provider access is shut off.
